Berto Roars Back to Beat Brunstrom |

In second-round qualifying play at the $125,000 PEOPLEnet Cup (Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine), fifth-seeded Alberto roared back from a set down to defeat Johan Brunstrom (SWE) 4-6, 6-2, 6-1. It was the second consecutive come-from-behind victory of the day as Berto moves into Sunday's qualifying final where he squares-off against #4 seed Andrei Gorban (MDA).
Against Brunstrom, Alberto fell behind as he was broken early in the first set as the Swede took command with a 6-4 win. Down a set, Alberto was undeterred as he broke Brunstrom twice to take the second set 6-2. In the deciding third set, Alberto dominated Brunstrom 6-1 as he cruised to the victory. |
